National Treasure, love him, rare intelligence on the TV, not just chasing the £.

You know he had that long bit about having an eskimo face at one stage? Probably inspired by your exchange.

Re: Westhamonline reviews Stewart Lee
I remember being told by some teacher or other that an avenue of anthropological science is trying to prove that in any given society with an identifiable indigenous people, there are only a few hundred facial 'types' even in societies of millions.

I've never looked into it, and presumably it just stems from people noticing 'types' of people with similar facial features. Not sure if this turned out to be fact or complete fantasy.

I actually just spent five minutes searching for the eskimo on packets of Eskimo mints.

I should be fired.

Didn't find it, either.

Re: Westhamonline reviews Stewart Lee
I like Stewart Lee because he annoys a particular group of people. And if those people actually liked him I'd change my opinion of him to a negative one.

Re: Westhamonline reviews Stewart Lee
I met Stewart Lee when I was a young boy. I said he looked like "the Eskimo" (as opposed to "an Eskimo"), but he spent 15 minutes defining the differences between various type of Eskimo and asking whether he was a general representation of the Eskimo people, or a specific one.

It turned out I was referring to "THE Eskimo" who appears on Eskimo Mints, which were somewhat popular in other countries in Ireland, and I'd bought at Dublin Zoo. To be fair, this may have been difficult to guess.

Stewart and his friends spent the day trying to get hold of a pack of Eskimo Mints.

They found some. He looked at the Eskimo on the pack, and said "I do actually".

And I don't vote Labour or subscribe to the Guardian. At one of his gigs a couple of years ago I started chatting to the girl next to me and said as much. Her response was "so why are you here then?" Daft bint.

Re: Westhamonline reviews Stewart Lee
Superb comedy writer and excellent live if you get a chance (and like his material obviously).

Not everyone's funny bones are tickled by Mrs Brown, Peter Kay, Mickey Flanagan, Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntryre, Joe Lycett, Jack Whitehall, Russell Kane, Sara Pascoe, Jason Manford, Aisling Bea, etc... etc... etc... etc... etc... ...and those people are his audience.

That's fine, surely? It's not as if these other comics with standard prime time observational stuff about garlic bread or being out-out are hard to find, or are being marginalised and forced off television by a grumpy tsunami of sociopathic humour, is it?
